I. ROLE:

The Solar & BESS Design Lead / Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all activities involving design, engineering, technology and optimizing PV system projects over entire project lifecycle from Development – Construction – Operation & Maintenance, on all levels of technicality and specialization. This role requires a strong technical background in solar energy, leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency within the engineering department.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and participate in plans and procedures for Rooftop Solar (RTS) / BESS / Energy Efficency design activities; build up technical requirements and specifications;
• Apply advanced engineering principles and practices, local codes, regulations, and industry standards to the design, development, and optimization of RTS project;
• Coordinate with Project Development team for collecting and studying off-taker’s data, such as, analysis of energy consumption patterns, load profile, electrical drawings, single line diagrams, etc.;
• Responsible for site survey, conceptual design, irradiation analysis (PVSyst), master plan, system configuration, efficiency analysis, detailed construction design and final BOQ for RTS projects;
• Undertake preparation and engineering review of design documents prepared by EPC contractors such as site survey report, basic drawing, PVSyst, engineering calculations, material spec., construction drawing, as-built drawing to ensure the design is safe, economical, efficient and constructible;
• Propose innovative or improved ideas in construction/ O&M;
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, on time, and well documented to meet business and target customer needs;
•  Research and propose new products. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

III. QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in design of PV solar systems/ rooftop solar systems / BESS / Energy Efficiency;
• Strong technical knowledge of top tier PV equipment suppliers, understanding of technology, standards, and market intelligence;

Skills

• Planning, Leadership and responsibility for tasks and projects;
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, PVsyst, and other relevant software for creating technical drawings & calculations, Microsoft Office suits.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
